Having a full garrison does make the AI more likely to besiege easier targets. Also besieging enemy fiefs also seem to draw groups of nobles and armies away from sieging. But yeah, I hear you. Having a garrison can free up a little time/space. Also garrison helps security, which in turn helps productivity of the fief.
In Mount And Blade 2: Bannerlord, from the early game, the income is quite low. There is a quick way to earn money, however, it is a grind. You can use the Smithing process to purchase the raw ingredients and sell the finished products on the market at quite considerable prices.
Have lots of money (a few million). Have a enough income to cover your expenses. This is also a good time to let that main quest expire because it is fubar. You can create a kingdom without that crappy banner. Yeah, at the moment I've 4 groups, 5 castels and 3 cities, but I think at this point that I lack in money, being at 400K coins.
Here's another way to make money in Mount and Blade 2, as long as your stock doesn't get pilfered. Bannerlord workshop: Make easy money. Making money trading is simple economics: Buy low and
Ronish May 15, 2021 @ 9:49am. I've got 3 workshops covering most of my wages for 100-person army. 2 wool workshops in the far east make 300+ each consistently (as of 1.5.9). Just resist the urge to keep upgrading your troops to max tier. A top tier soldier gets twice the wage of a mid-tier but is not twice as powerful.
Betting Fraud is a quest in Bannerlord given by gang leader notables in Towns. A gang leader asks the player to participate in five future tournaments and to fix their results so that the gang leader and their associates can make huge profits from the betting. In return, they will pay the player a stipend per tournament. Locate a Town where a tournament is taking place. Enter the tournament
Workshops are nearly useless. Caravans are barely any better. The only real way to make money is through war (selling equipment) or being lucky enough to own a major city. I've had one game since the beginning which has survived every patch. I make $3-4k a day simply by owning 1 city. I also have 2 castles but they are a loss/break even.

Between selling goods, completing missions, and killing enemies there is a large variety of tasks to complete that will award players with lots of gold.
Historically, countries that lost wars had to pay tribute to the victor to save their own ass. This seems reasonable, you took their cities and if you make peace those cities will stay with you. With war they have a chance to take them back. You should pay tribute to them to keep those cities. #4.
Odd the game is called Bannerlord, yet no banner can be seen throughout the gameStill applicable for the most part. Some changes, but really, not much.Tit
